FIELD: cleaning of gases, in particular, flue gases with the help of foam-generating reagent. SUBSTANCE: flue gas comes in contact with reagent in reaction chamber where foam is disintegrated after reaction between flue gas and reagent recovered by disintegration and precipitated sludge are cooled separately and cleaned gas is withdrawn. During cleaning of gas with temperature below 60 C, foam disintegration takes place in reaction chamber. Dense foam resulted from foam disintegration and reagent mixed with water and gases are collected below the level of dense foam. The latter and surface sludge are sucked from reaction chamber and directed to intermediate storage for gravity separation. Carried out in precipitation phase is layer formation (stratification) of substances to be separated, and separate layers are separated successively. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 27 cl, 3 dwg
