UNDERCAR STORAGE BATTERY MODULE Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: railway transport; railway cars, underground cars; devices for storage battery mounting. SUBSTANCE: module has housing and roll-out truck connected for movement relative to each other owing to installation of rollers on truck and guides on housing. It has front hinged cover with fitted on guides. Truck is made in form of framework with fitted-in storage battery and is provided with insulating members. Module is furnished with battery fastening device. Additional movable guides for housing and cover are installed in module for rotation relative to fixed guides and for fixing in horizontal plane. Guides of housing are provided additionally with attachment and fixing units made in form of brace, pin and slot on guides and support member with inclined and vertical flats on housing. Device for fixing truck in housing is formed by movable guide of housing and members of guide attachment and fixing units, i.e. longitudinal slot, pin and inclined flat of support member. Insulating members are made in form of dielectric material plates and are secured on inner lower and side surfaces of framework on pins. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 5 cl, 5 dwg
