FIELD: transport storage batteries. SUBSTANCE: container of storage battery has case 1 with separable front cover 2, unit for pressing of modules 3 against rear wall of container, explosion valve 4, electrolyte leak indicator, unit of attachment of cells including frame 6 mounted in upper part of case coupled with the help of locks 7 to cover 2 and with hinges 8 to explosion valve 4. Frame together with bearing members 9 form supporting structure linked to undercarriage suspensions 10. Lateral racks manufactured in the form of L-shaped cross-pieces are attached to frame. Vertical member of cross-piece is formed with strap 11 and its horizontal member is formed with channel 12 open from below and having horizontal flanges from butt below. Butt of strap is anchored along rack on its front end and forms guiding shoulders 13 in it against which side protrusions of modules lean. At the top strap 11 is attached to side of front part of frame. Pressing device is fabricated in the form of U-shaped locking clamp 13 hinged with ends to base of supporting structure and joined detachably to at least one of crosspieces.
