FIELD: mineral fertilizers. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of producing urea granules from urea melt or solution for using as fertilizer either by itself or in combination with mineral additives. Invention consists in that, before granulation procedure, urea melt or solution is supplemented by granulation additive selected from the group comprising formaldehyde, methylthiourea, urea and formaldehyde condensation products, and hexamethylenetetramine at such a moment as to provide additive and urea melt or additive and urea solution contact time at least 20 s but not longer than 20 min. Granulation is performed by spraying urea particles in the form of small droplets into fluidized bed of urea particles. EFFECT: facilitated granulation procedure. 6 cl, 1 dwg, 1 tbl
