FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: present invention describes method of preparing synthetic carbon-containing products from solvated mesophase resin comprising quinoline-insoluble materials. The claimed method is advantageous over the prior art, since it allows using some type of starting materials unsuitable for resin. Synthetic products prepared by the claimed method retain their structural integrity during carbonization process. Present invention also describes resin formed by the claimed method and synthetic carbon- containing products formed by said method. EFFECT: more efficient preparation method. 21 cl
