FIELD: cleaning of gases produced at combustion, gasification, chemical or metallurgical processes. SUBSTANCE: the method consists in addition of a reagent and/or absorbent to gases before or after the process interacting with substances contained in gases contaminating the environment, with formation of slag, separation of gases containing the reagent and/or absorbent into two separate gas flows, after that the first flow is supplied to the drying zone located in the lower part of the spraying reactor, and the second gas flow is fed to the spraying zone located in the upper part of the spraying reactor for humidification of the suspension of gas and reagent and/or absorbent with water and/or vapor; slag particles are separated from gas in the spraying reactor, the layer of separate slag particles is maintained below the inlet level in the lower part of the spraying reactor, separated wet slag particles and water drops falling downwards from the upper part of the spraying reactor are mixed with slag particles in the slag layer for homogenizing of temperature and moisture content of the slag layer.
