FIELD: separation of solid particles from gases. SUBSTANCE: reactor includes reaction chamber confined in horizontal plane with vertical walls; means for introduction into reaction chamber of fluidizing gas; pipe for fuel supply to reaction chamber or supply of some other solid material; centrifugal separator connected to reaction chamber and designed for separation of solid particles from gases coming out of reaction chamber; returning pipe for recirculation of solid particles separated in separator to reaction chamber; outlet for gas discharge from separator. Centrifugal separator includes swirl chamber which has walls confining the internal gas space. Vertical walls of reactor are flat or bent, or cylindrical, and swirl chamber is made at least partially as cooling structure having ratio of perimeter of cross-section of internal surface of swirl chamber to length of circumference of maximum circle inscribing into cross-section of swirl chamber in excess of 1.
