FIELD: materials handling; storage and transportation of oil products in tank farms located in regions with high level of solar radiation. SUBSTANCE: device for storing viscous oil products has at least one reservoir with heater communicating with heating unit through pipelines with heat carrier installed in parallel and at least one pump, filter and expansion chamber and heat pump installed on heating unit. Heating unit has at least one standby solar collector behind which at least one standby heat exchanger is installed. Heat carrier with lower solidification point is used. This heat carrier is not replaceable. At low solar radiation and, consequently, insufficient heating of heat carrier in solar collectors, heat pump is set in operation. Use of heat pump increases service life of solar collector. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 1 dwg
