METHOD FOR STAND-TESTING OF PILE FOUNDATION Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: according to method, model is created of "ground-foundation" system with model piles and fragments of ground base. Model piles are driven to given depth with applying loads and measuring displacements. Aforesaid model is created in 1:1 scale to actual article in the form of development of separate components connected to each other mechanically. Each component is made up of model piles and fragments of ground base. Model piles are made in the form of separate fragments of piles with parameters of actual piles. Cross-section of ground base fragments in development represents cross-section of natural ground base. Prior to sinking model piles, ground fragments are subjected to three-axis compression with purpose of forming natural stressed condition which is maintained during testing process.
