FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: this relates to advancing of cutter-loader machine towards work face, primarily in working medium-thick inclined seams. Advance mechanism has electric motor, reducer with gear transmission connected with carrier of epicyclic reducer, electromagnetic brake with excitation coil and inductor, and output shaft with propel sprocket installed for possible interaction with stationary drive member. Gear-shift mechanism is made in the form of shafts, with one of them being kinematically connected with carrier of epicyclic reducer, and with other being connected with output shaft. Shafts carry gear transmissions, with one of them being underdrive. Advance mechanism can be provided with parking brake connected with output shaft through underdrive gearing.
