FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: this relates to continuous miners intended for underground mining of minerals. Operating member has reducer output shaft and mounted on this shaft are auger and cutting shield which is connected with driven gear of its turning mechanism. This mechanism is made in the form of controllable multiple disk friction clutch. Inner disks of clutch are connected with aforesaid driven gear through shaft, and outer disks are connected with intermediate gears of reducer which are installed for possible transmission of rotating and turning motions to cutting shield.
