FIELD: analytical methods. SUBSTANCE: invention is meant to be used for visually determining moisture of a variety of gases and liquids to be applied in moisture- determination devices, in particular, in moisture indicators for controlling moisture content of chladones and oil-chladone mixtures. Task of invention consists in providing moisture control for chladones and oil-chladone mixtures at moisture content as high as 1000 x 10-4 wt % using sensors with moisture indication range from 30 x 10-4 to 100 x 10-4 wt %. Task is achieved by adding cobalt bromide into aqueous solution to impregnate filter paper with iodine in potassium iodide solution followed by adding sodium thiosulfate.
