FIELD: analytical methods. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to visual control methods and may be used for rapidly controlling acidity of s, including polyester and polyalkylene glycol oils for ozone-safe chladone. Invention aims at improving indicator solution containing isopropyl alcohol, toluene, and potassium hydroxide to extend application area, increasing sensitivity owing to extended spectrum of boundary transition colors, and speeding up establishing of stable coloring of indicator solution containing test sample of refrigerating oil. Aim is attained by supplementing indicator solution with water-soluble phenol red indicator containing ammonium group (ammonium benzoaurinesulfonate) and with quantity of sodium hydroxide varying in dependence oil mark and technical requirements for acidity value.
