FIELD: technique of separation of hydrocarbon emulsions of water-oil type, in particular, dewatering of hydrocarbon gas-liquid and liquid media in oil and gas processing, oil and gas producing, petrochemical, chemical and other industries. SUBSTANCE: method includes coalescence filtering through composition of porous-cellular metals and/or alloys and porous-cellular polymer materials with fixed porous-cellular structure. EFFECT: higher efficiency of separation of emulsions and depth of dewatering of immiscible emulgated hydrocarbon media. 2 tbl
