FIELD: methods of decontamination of gaseous and liquid halogenoorganic wastes, gaseous ozone-destructive chladons and liquid polychlorinated biphenyls possessing high viscosity at normal temperature (up to 14000 cSt); chemical, petrochemical and other industries. SUBSTANCE: halogenoorganic wastes are heated preliminarily to temperature not exceeding the limit of their thermal stability, after which they are atomized by jet of hot air at temperature exceeding their boiling point and vapor-air mixture thus formed is directed to plasma jet where pyrolysis is effected at temperature not below 1500 C; holding time in zone of reaction ranges from 2 to 10 ms; pyrolysis is effected in excess of oxidizer sufficient for complete oxidation of carbon contained in wastes; then products of pyrolysis are hardened and neutralized by aqueous alkaline solution which is used repeatedly at regular addition of alkali till restoration of initial concentration and removal of salts formed in neutralization. EFFECT: enhanced reliability and efficiency of decontamination; realization of neutralization system working in closed circuit without draining neutralizing agent into sewage system. 1 dwg, 1 tbl
