FIELD: optical computer engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has two groups of input optical branches, four groups of optical two-state elements, group of optical amplifiers, two groups of optical branches and two optical branches. Inputs of comparator are inputs of corresponding group of input branches. First taps of input branches of first and second groups are connected to inputs of optical two-state elements of third and fourth groups respectively. Second taps of same-name input branches are joined and connected to inputs of optical two-state elements of first group, which direct outputs are absorbing and inverse outputs are connected to inputs of first group of branches, which first taps are connected to inputs of optical two-state elements of second group except first tap of first branch which is connected to inputs of first two-state elements of third and fourth groups through coupler. Second taps are connected to inputs of optical amplifiers which outputs are connected through optical splitters to inputs of all optical two-state elements of second group which correspond to comparison channels of lower bits. Their direct outputs are absorbing and inverse outputs are connected to inputs of second group of branches, which first taps are connected to inputs of optical two-state elements of third group. second taps are connected to interfaces of fourth group. Outputs of two-state elements of third and fourth groups are connected to joined taps of first and second output branches respectively. Outputs of output branches are device outputs.
