FIELD: food production industry. SUBSTANCE: admixing is effected to such food mass as froth or pastry. According to method, additional matter is added into vessel which is open atop. Mixture is transported by means of two spirals which are counter-rotating. Spirals are round or oval in their cross-section and their diameters are partly overlapping. Mixing is effected in device having vessel with loading and unloading ports and accommodating at least two horizontal spirals with their screw surfaces inclined in direction of mixture transportation. Mixing route is created between loading and unloading ports. Along this route mixture can be transported with simultaneous admixing of additional matter without any pressure.
