FIELD: people transportation systems. SUBSTANCE: this relates to switchable systems for speedy personal movement ensuring stopless direct addressing to point of destination using small on-board device. Switching facility is installed in determined place of transportation network which is made up of main route, branching and converging lines. High-speed personal transportation system has track with all equipment which is necessary for movement: rails, small cabins which can automatically move along track and are provided with running gear having guide wheels rolling in internal space of track. Electromagnetic switching device is located in front and rear parts of cabin. Switching operation is effected by pressing wheels against rail, and travel of cabin in required direction is controlled by creating tight contact with rail when transferring to switching section. Switching is performed within short section for half-second time without involving any movable components of track. This arrangement allows for using large number of cabins travelling at high speed even on switching sections of track. EFFECT: high efficiency. 13 cl, 13 dwg
