FIELD: industrial thermal engineering; heating and cooling apparatuses. SUBSTANCE: gas is fed under pressure from separating chamber 1 to two coaxially arranged pipes 2, 3. Shaped nozzle 7 is used to accelerate gas flowing in internal pipe 3 to supersonic speed. Gas flows over annular channel at subsonic speed. For extending annular channel length, spiral-shaped guides piece 8 may be inserted into it. Supersonic diffuser 5 is installed at internal pipe outlet. Temperature difference is set up between gas flows passed through channels. EFFECT: improved thermodynamic efficiency of apparatuses using this method compared with vortex devices. 3 cl, 2 dwg
