FIELD: high-accuracy geodesic measurements. SUBSTANCE: autocollimation theodolite has vertical and horizontal axial systems with reading devices and autocollimation visual tube including the objective, prism unit with grid and ocular. Autocollimation tube is made as reflecting autocollimator. It can tilt horizontal axis of vertical axial system. Autocollimation tube has two-sided mirror which is spaced at half the focal distance from objective. Grid is arranged at junction point of objective. Circular plane-parallel plate is positioned between objective and two-sided mirror. It is mounted for turning about two mutually perpendicular axes. Two-sided mirror is provided with inherent axis of rotation parallel to horizontal axis of vertical axial system. Two-sided mirror can turn and incline relative to the above-indicated axis. Mirror surface, for example of horizontal system of coordinates is used as indicator of theodolite operation coordinate system. It is open surface of liquid positioned in front of visual tube at right angles with vertical axis of rotation of theodolite horizontal axial system.
