FIELD: optical instrumentation engineering. SUBSTANCE: microscopic theodolite allows corrections to direction to object in theodolite with stabilized sighting line to be accounted for automatically. This is achieved by insertion of system 5 of variable change of focus distance of telescope which projects images of observed objects in plane of lines of dial 2. While observing objects relation f′=R/(cosα) is realized, where f′ is focal distance of objective of telescope; R is radius of pitch circle; α is inclination angle of axis of telescope relative to plane of dial 2 with objective 1 made fast to vernier plate. Flat reflector 6 is mounted in front of it for inclination in vertical plane. EFFECT: introduction of automatic corrections. 2 dwg
