FIELD: working of elongated parts and assembled units such as frames whose dimensions as well as dimensions of working zone exceed motion limits of mandrel stock or machine tool table. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of aligning working zones by means of theodolite and arranging them in the same plane; adjusting axis of telescope according to plane of end of extended tail spindle of machine tool at moving stock along frame; placing worked surface of frame structure in plane of telescope axis of theodolite with use of height gage. EFFECT: significantly enlarged assortment of articles and assembled units suitable for working in boring machine tools. 1 dwg
