FIELD: input check of lot of metal sheets. SUBSTANCE: for detection of brittle sheets 100-percent check of sheets of one delivery lot for hardness and selective tests of specimens manufactured from these sheets for extrusion of hollow by Erichsen are performed. Prior to performing the tests, range of height of audible sound emitted by sheets, when the latter are struck, is set. To this end, every sheet is secured or suspended by one corner or small section of plane, and blow is delivered on sheet plane. Specimens are made of sheets having low height of sound. They are selected from lot. Sheets are considered brittle if specimens made of them are destroyed over their plane during tests. EFFECT: checking for brittleness over the entire section and plane of sheets, detection of brittleness of recrystallization and brittleness at angle of 45 deg to direction of rolling. 1 tbl
