FIELD: investigation of parameters of micron- and submicron-size suspended particles for medical diagnostics, bioengineering, ecology, chemistry, biochemistry, and pharmacology. SUBSTANCE: device has non-flow-type transparent vessel 1 holding particles under investigation that incorporates suspension stirring system, monochromatic collimated radiation source 2, optically converging lens 3, small-angle dissipation photodetectors 4 arranged in its focal plane with order of thousands number, as well as side-dissipation photodetectors 5, excitation system (short-wave radiation source 6) and fluorescence metering system in the form of set of fluorescent photodetectors 7, analog-to-digital converter 14 whose input is connected to outputs of all measuring instruments, and electronic 15 that functions to ensure automatic operation, storage, and in-line processing of measurement results. In addition, device may be provided with vessel temperature control system that has temperature meter 11 and heater or cooler 10, as well as vessel optical density metering system incorporating two light-splitting plates 13 inserted in monochromatic collimated radiation field before and after they have passed vessel 1 and two photodetectors 12. Relatively small number of particles, about Nst, is required in sample to bring statistical noise to negligible value; statistical characteristics of fast processes (up to 0.01 s) are easily diagnosed due to simultaneous signal reception from Nst particles. EFFECT: reduced statistical noise, facilitated diagnosing procedure, improved spatial resolution due to great number (about thousands) of photodetectors, reduced cost, facilitated manufacture and maintenance 4. 4 cl, 1 dwg
