FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: analysis method of dirtiness of motor oil of an internal combustion engine with disperse particles involves sounding of the test disperse medium with a beam of low-power laser and ultrasonic emissions, recording of the emission scattered and reflected with disperse particles. With that, there is a reference channel with clean motor oil and two channels in the test volume of the engine case: a measuring channel of metal parts, which is located at the bottom of the engine case oil tray and a measuring channel of carbon monoxide particles, which is located at the height of minimum oil level in the case. Besides, there are also three ultrasonic emitters, the frequency of which depends on oil temperature, and as per obtained amplitudes and duration of pulses of scattered signals on photoreceivers and as per ratios between signals of the reference channel and the measuring channel of metal parts, as well as between signals of the reference channel and the measuring channel of carbon monoxide particles, there estimated are sizes of disperse particles, degree and nature of dirtiness of motor oil in compliance with the existing standard.
EFFECT: increasing informativity of the data for evaluation of concentration of suspended metal and carbon monoxide disperse particles contained in oil; possibility of controlling engine operation quality, the remaining oil operational life of oil before its replacement.
