FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has system 9 for creating magnetic field over the whole width of product flow of harvester, whose lines are extending transverse to feeding direction and some magnets are embraced with receiving coils 15,16,17. It allows identification system capacity to be increased and fault signal suppression to be provided. Magnetic field creating system 9 has magnet unit containing odd number of magnets 12,13,14. Outer magnets 13,14 of the unit have similar orientation of magnetic induction. Each second magnet 12 is embraced with receiving coil 15. Other embodiment has magnet unit with three magnets 12,13,14, each embraced with related receiving coil 15,16 or 17. Receiving coils 15,16,17 are connected in series, with similar orientation of coils and connected with evaluation unit.
