FIELD: application of coatings by explosion; applicable in reinforcing of parts operating under conditions of high corrosion, erosion and abrasive effects in various industries. SUBSTANCE: spraying is carried out with use of movable protective chamber on discrete-local sections of part surface. Preliminary preparation operations of part surface, spraying and subsequent machining are performed at one position of treated part. The device for embodiment of method has appliance for fastening of tool for preliminary and final treatment of working surface. Appliance is attached to mechanism 2 for moving gun 1. Protective chamber consists of body 5 and removable cover 6. Body 5 is split along the axis of holes in side walls of chamber for slide embracing of sprayed section of part and locking of chamber along the axis of part rotation. Chamber cover 6 is installed immovably on gun barrel provided with flexible member from outside and reciprocates together with barrel relative to chamber side walls. The following condition should be observed L ≥ 21, where L is cover length and 1 is cover width. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 cl, 2 dwg
