FIELD: civil engineering; elevators for apartment houses. SUBSTANCE: elevator has movable frame 1 moved by drive 2 along guide support 3 provided with support members 4 engaging with drive gear 5 of drive 2. Frame 1 is furnished with frames 6 fixing position of gear 5 relative to support members 4 and support rolls 8 mated with support surfaces 7 of guide support 3. Frame 1 is moved along support 3 by drive 2. In this position gear 5 of drive 2 is in meshing with support members 4 by minimum two teeth rolling along antifriction coating of bushings turning on rods secured in projections of guide support 3. Noise and vibration levels in elevator are materially reduced owing to the fact gear 5 is in contact with two support members 4, and fixing rolls 6 and support rolls 8 are installed in plane parallel to corresponding support surface 7, 9.
