FIELD: gasoline production. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to producing automobile gasolines with no tetraethyl lead added. Gasoline is produced via fractionation of light (C3-C6) gasoline fraction to take off C5- fraction with summary butane content 0.5-3.0 wt %, from which isopentane fraction with isopentane content 88-97 wt % is isolated by fractionation at column top temperature 70-80 C, column bottom temperature 90-105 C, reflux-to-product ratio 6-10, and theoretical plates' number 50-60. Isopentane fraction is combined with anti-knock components: reforming product, or its mixture with isomerization product, or mixture of reforming product with oxygen-containing compound, or mixture of reforming product with isomerization product and oxygen-containing compound. Produced gasoline has octane number 92-96. Vat residue of isopentane fraction fractionation may be utilized in producing low-octane gasolines or as starting material for isomerization.
