FIELD: methods of magnesium production from oxygen-containing raw materials on continuous production line. SUBSTANCE: production line includes a line of successively hydraulically connected flow-through electrolyzers with loading devices of raw materials containing magnesium chloride. Novelty consists in that the production line includes remote furnaces whose bodies have loading devices, gas distributing breaker plates and dust-collecting devices of furnace of fluidized bed for dehydration of carnallite in flow of gases containing hydrogen chloride, plant for neutralization of discharged gases of fluidized bed furnaces and apparatuses for production of synthetic carnallite. The method of magnesium production from oxygen-containing raw material includes melting of solid raw material in electrolyte of electrolyzer and purification of enriched electrolyte. Novelty in the offered method consists in that before melting, synthetic carnallite is dehydrated in fluidized bed in flow of gases containing hydrogen chloride up to concentration of water and magnesium oxide from 0.2 to 1.2 wt.% of each of these components. In so doing, introduced into flame tongue of burning fuel of fluidized bed furnaces is anode chlorine and/or chlorine-containing gases. The offered method is distinguished by maintenance of temperature difference in electrolytes of electrolyzers of not more than 20 C, and magnesium chloride concentration of not less than 8%, temperature in melting pots of 450-650 C and concentration of magnesium chloride in them within 15-35% due to regulation of circulation flow rate of circulating electrolyte.
