FIELD: generation of mechanical energy through burning any fuel in evaporating chambers of steam engine. SUBSTANCE: steam engine differs from Watt machine in absence of massive steam boiler which is replaced by two heating chambers provided with valve and connected with two parts of cylinder by means of branch pipes. Engine is simple in construction. If temperature of chambers is high, for example 1000 K, efficiency of such engine is close to that of internal combustion engine.
