FIELD: pumps. SUBSTANCE: method of liquid feed involves production of rarefaction in the suction line and ejection of liquid from the impeller of the hydraulic centrifugal pump under pressure through expansion spiral case to the discharge line. The flow in the hydraulic pump built in a straight pipeline is transformed in the suction line by a double turn. Uniform distribution of flow rates before the impeller is attained by its primary deceleration by means of two-fold volumetric expansion and subsequent acceleration by means of two-fold contraction. The first turn is carried out before deceleration by deformation of flow by counter-inclined plane action with further expansion by fan-shaped components. The second turn is accomplished before contraction by convergent components. Liquid ejection from the impeller peripheral parts, from the blade passages is accomplished by an abrupt lateral expansion of liquid jets at the outlet to the spiral case with a rise of the expansion gradient. Then the flow is transformed to a confusion-diffusion one with a straight-line orientation of it by interplane flow in the discharge line. The method is realized in centrifugal pump for liquid feed, in which the inlet pipe is made in the form of an expanding cap so as to provide uniform distribution of flow rates. In the bottom part the cap is furnished with a flat pad inclined at an angle of 45 deg., adjoining the wall of the spiral case. In the top part the cap is furnished with a lateral contracting profile duct terminating in a feed opening. The opening changes into a ring recess between the body and free ends of the blades. Profile recesses are made on the impeller disk periphery between the trailing edges of blades. The discharge pipe is additionally furnished with a confusion section located between the outlet part of the spiral case and diffuser of the discharge pipe, having two flat inclined diverging pads.
