FIELD: nondestructive test; mechanical engineering; chemical engineering. SUBSTANCE: pulse oscillations are excited in object under test. These oscillations are characterized by presence of longitudinal and shift components which cause appearance of series of pulse bursts for every pulse introduced in to signal passed through object under test. Measured parameters are ti - time interval between pulses in burst and tp - interval between pulse bursts. Values of relative deformation ε and mechanical stress σ are found from special formulas.
