FIELD: manufacture of parts of engineering equipment. SUBSTANCE: tubular or hollow article of sheet or belt material is made at least of two sheets or belts inseparably joined along plane at least in two places. At least one of said sheets or belts is made of flexible and(or) springy and(or) elastic material and preliminarily before joining it is subjected to elastic deformation until occurring residual deformation and(or) it is made of material changing its shape or dimension by action of outer physical factors as distinguished from material of other sheets or belts. Method for making tubular or hollow articles of sheet or belt material comprises steps of feeding at least two sheets or two belts, inseparably joining them at least in two places along plane; using one sheet or belt made of flexible and(or) springy and(or) elastic material; preliminarily subjecting at least one sheet or belt to elastic deformation without causing residual deformation and(or) using at least one sheet or belt of material changing its shape or dimension by action of outer physical factors as distinguished from material of other sheets or belts. Invention allows to create constructions with elastic properties capable to sensing and suppressing vibrations and oscillations.
