FIELD: semiconductor conversion technology, design of rectifier installations intended for power supply of electrolyzers in non-ferrous metallurgy and chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: conversion unit has n pairs of pellet semiconductor valves connected in series aiding via current tap, coolers connected to opposite poles of pairs of semiconductor valves, current carrying bus connecting extreme like poles of pairs of semiconductor valves and bearing structure. Continuous metal water conduits manufactured in the form of U-shaped tubes are passed through coolers joined to each pole of pairs of pellet semiconductor valves. Both ends of tubes pass through each cooler. Conversion unit additionally includes current carrying bus connecting second extreme like poles of pairs of semiconductor valves. Frame formed by current carrying buses and solid metal water conduits interjoined via pellet semiconductor valves and coolers in axial direction is used as bearing structure. EFFECT: expanded application field and increased functional reliability. 2 dwg
