FIELD: power converters, rectifiers, and inverters; AC-to-DC and DC-to-AC power conversion. SUBSTANCE: power supply system that has N 2m-phase converters I, II, ... N incorporating two m-phase units each using transformer, rectifier unit, and compensating filter device in the form of monoharmonic filters is provided, in addition, with N polyharmonic filters of odd-ratio harmonics, each connected in series with respective converter and made in the form of reactors and transformers with condenser banks. Monoharmonic filters are provided only for even-ratio harmonics and their parameters are chosen processing from minimum of installed capacity of converter banks. Converter units are built around either bridge or neutral circuit arrangement.
