FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering, including power conversion technology, and can be used to convert the input variable three-phase voltage into an alternating multi-phase voltage with the subsequent conversion to a constant voltage, for example, for technological plants for aluminum production, for electric transport, for DC inserts on power lines, for electrotechnological installations using direct current. Converter according to the first variant consists of a multiwinding transformer comprising a primary three-phase winding and secondary windings connected in a star-zigzag-zigzag scheme with a primary winding and a first, second, third secondary winding, connected at the input with three three-phase rectifying diode bridges, which are connected along the output in parallel. AC to DC converter of the second embodiment comprises n secondary windings connected to a star, a triangle or a zigzag connected at the entrance with n three-phase rectifying diode bridges.
EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of the converter is provided by reducing the ripple ratio of the rectified voltage and the harmonic ratio of the current consumed, and also with the absence of an equalization reactor in the scheme with the losses that were lost in it.
