FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: this relates to metal lattice-type guarding which performs safeguarding and esthetic functions. Guarding has frame and lattice attached to it and is made of combination of enclosed cells. Cells are created by plastic bending of standard steel bar of simple cross-sectional profile by means of its crossing application at places of transition of same bar between cells. Cells are arranged at pitch which is equal to or larger than specific dimension of enclosed cell. Final dimensions of lattice are obtained after its stretching. Method of producing lattice-type guarding from rolled stock implies manufacture of lattice from combination of enclosed cells which are made by plastic deformation of steel bar and winding it over in the form of coils. Then, combination of coils is tightened and enclosed cells are formed by displacing coils singly in plane which is perpendicular to coil formation axis. Finally dimensioned lattice after its stretching is appropriately secured to frame. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 11 cl, 13 dwg
