FIELD: instruments, in particular, storage equipment using moving medium, devices for digital information transmission. SUBSTANCE: device has registers, memory units, commutators, check bit generator, correction signal generator, modulo two adder, unit of modulo two adders, adder, control unit, serial-to-parallel code converter, parallel- to-serial code converter, functional code converter, units of AND gates. In writing mode device sends information from digital processing unit to accumulation unit with generation of check bits of vector code in one channel using modulo two addition of information bits in two diagonal directions. In reading mode device sends information from accumulation unit to processing unit with correction of single and multiple errors in one channel as well as of limited-length error array simultaneously in all channels if there is no correction error propagation which occur in convolution codes. In testing mode device sends stored information from accumulation unit without correction. Device operates if number of accumulation unit channels is less than bit-length of information word of digital processing unit. EFFECT: increased functional capabilities. 3 cl, 1 dwg
