FIELD: production of bales from raw material, such as dried roots and roots of wild and cultivated grass plants. SUBSTANCE: press has immovable cross-pieces interconnected through guides and movable cross-pieces of compression chamber and pressing punch. These cross-pieces are provided with hydraulic drives. Compression chamber and pressing punch with guides are arranged in horizontal plane and movable and immovable cross-pieces are arranged in vertical plane. Charging chamber with hydraulically controlled gate is mounted on top face of compression chamber. Hydraulic drives of compression chamber and pressing punch are arranged in horizontal position between pairs of immovable and movable cross-pieces of compression chamber and pressing punch, respectively. Press is further provided with cassettes containing low-carbon high-quality bale binding wire or metal tape and scissors for cutting off wire or tape ends. Cassettes are placed on front immovable cross-piece. Two supports for press are positioned on lower pair of guides between immovable cross-pieces. Hydraulic station suspended on mentioned pair of guides is equipped with hydraulic drive remote control system.
