FIELD: rolling and drawing equipment, namely apparatuses for mechanically descaling, for example rolled steel rods at preparing it for drawing process. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes working chamber for descaling provided with mechanism for pumping abrasive powder and zone for receiving waste powder, hopper for abrasive powder arranged over said pumping mechanism and connected with it by receiving window, pneumatic abrasive-powder circulation system for separating scale removed from rolled piece and returning powder to hopper, placed over said hopper reservoir for charging fresh abrasive powder. Said reservoir is provided with feeding duct whose lower end is connected with cone nozzle. Identical reservoir for plasticizing powder is also arranged over said hopper and provided with feeding duct having cone nozzle. Apparatus provides uniform make up of fresh powder to circulating abrasive powder and therefore constant concentration of fresh abrasive particles with sharpened faces among partly worn particles in descaling zone. If it is necessary apparatus may sustain predetermined concentration of plasticizing additive in abrasive powder. EFFECT: enhanced degree of descaling due to constant physical conditions of descaling process, effective ecologically suitable acid-free methods for descaling rods and elongated rolled pieces that may be widely realized at using such apparatus. 4 cl, 3 dwg
