FIELD: hydraulic engineering. SUBSTANCE: according to method, drift deposits are worked out by means of hydraulic suction dredges with simultaneous filling of washed out zones. Redistribution of ground mass from zone of natural silting to washing-out zone creates dynamically stable river or channel bed by levelling fields of water flow speeds with reducing them down to values of nonwashing-out flow speeds. Additionally formed is protective surface layer of filled body which is made up of large-size fractions of ground by placing it through displacement of suction dredge working unit initially across water stream, then along it.
