FIELD: hydraulic power engineering. SUBSTANCE: complex of hydraulic units consists of two groups with different parameter hydraulic turbines. One of groups uses hydraulic turbines designed for operation within the range of designed pressure heads from minimum to maximum values with forcing of single-unit power from designed to maximum values of pressure heads. Other group of hydraulic units uses hydraulic turbines designed for operation within the range of pressure heads from minimum value to intermediate value between maximum and designed values of pressure heads and maximum corrected flow rate in the range exceeding that of first group turbines. Number of hydraulic units of second group is proportional to degree of forcing of single-unit power of first group turbines i.e. the greater the increment of single-unit power of first group turbines, the greater the number of hydraulic units of second group cut out at indicated preset intermediate value of pressure head. EFFECT: reduced idle discharge of flood waters, increased power generated by hydroelectric station at this period. 2 dwg, 1 tbl
