FIELD: oil and gas industry. SUBSTANCE: invention is related to direct search for oil and gas in nonstructural traps, for high-accuracy determination of productive pools and their potential productivity, for determination of position of water and oil contact and for ecologically balanced usage of entrails of the earth. Complex parameter of convective deformation and factor of deformed plicateness of rocks are found by results of seismic examinations in two or more reflecting horizons of sedimentary thick. Potential productivity of traps is determined by their values. Sites with monolithic and broken structure of hydrocarbon fields are isolated, contour of deformity of rocks and position of water and oil contact are found. Target prospecting drilling is carried out within limits of productive sand bodies to reach depth of laying of contour of deformity of rocks in terrigenous structures and in carbonate deposits over entire sedimentary thick buried under them. EFFECT: enhanced authenticity of method. 2 dwg
