FIELD: ferrous metallurgy; production of low-carbon killed steels. SUBSTANCE: method includes optimal deoxidation of metal by introduction of silicon, aluminum and titanium in ratio of (30-40):(9-11):1, respectively. Mechanical properties of steel are regulated by vanadium microalloying. Vanadium consumption is calculated after obtaining data on content of carbon and manganese in metal before deoxidation by formula [V]=0.125-0.23[C]-0.04[Mn] , where [V] is percentage of introduced vanadium, [C] and [Mn] are expected percentage of carbon and manganese in steel; 0.125 is empirical constant, %; 0.23 and 0.04 are proportionality factors.
