FIELD: metallurgy, in particular, methods of microalloying of carbon steels. SUBSTANCE: method includes taking samples and their chemical analysis before deoxidation, introduction into metal of silicon, manganese and vanadium. Quantity of vanadium is determined by formulas given in the invention description with relationship between manganese, vanadium and carbon in steel observed as specified in the invention description. EFFECT: higher impact strength of steel with reduced consumption of vanadium for microalloying and content of manganese in steel as a result of vanadium effect on steel mechanical properties. 1 cl, 1 tbl
