FIELD: processing of wastes, mainly, metallurgical production with recovery into commercial products of copper and zinc, silver and gold in the form of high-grade concentrates. SUBSTANCE: method is based on treatment of initial material with aqueous-salt solution containing oxidizer for intensification of leaching of valuable components, such as silver and gold with subsequent sorption recovery of gold and silver, selective extraction concentration of copper and zinc and their electrolytic precipitation. Method has been approbated on metallurgical production wastes containing, wt.-%: copper, 2.5-3.5; zinc, 0.7-1.5; silver, 0.01-0.02; gold, 0.0002-0.0004; iron, 30-35. Combination of intensive leaching and selective sorption and extraction recovery of metals makes it possible to attain two-fold increase of commercial products in processing of metallurgical wastes.
