FIELD: ferrying and bridging facilities. SUBSTANCE: this particularly relates to ferries and floating bridges. Universal pontoon link has following components: two middle pontoons and two extreme pontoons which are pivotally interconnected and have built-in carriage way, interlink coupling units made in the form of yoke and eye-lug and installed on both sides of pontoon link, tipping gangboards which in folded position create level carriage way of bridge, and mechanism for turning gangboards. Each gangboard turning mechanism is made in the form of torsion shaft of double-way twisting which is installed in bushes on gangboard. One end of torsion shaft is attached to gangboard by means of end lever with detent and locking strip with stop. Other end of torsion shaft is connected by shaped yoke to pontoon pin. Width of one of extreme pontoons is reduced so that width of pontoon link is equal to width of river link when fairings of double-way floating bridge are brought to lower position. Universal pontoon link can be used in double-way floating bridge and it is of higher reliability due to simplified design of gangboard turning mechanism. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 10 dwg
