FIELD: automatic equipment, applicable in transport facility control devices. SUBSTANCE: the system uses two receivers located on the transport facility in a line perpendicular to its longitudinal axis, information (character) generators located in the plane of motion, made in the form of two crossing sections of line signal generators, whose ends on the opposite sides of the point of intersection are connected by similar sections. The system uses also a time interval measuring unit and a control signal generating unit; the outputs of the first and second inputs of the time interval measuring unit respectively, and the outputs of the time interval measuring unit are connected to the respective inputs of the control signal generating unit, whose outputs serve as the device outputs at which the signals of transport facility motion speed, its coordinates in the axis coinciding with the direction of motion, and in the axis perpendicular to it, as well of angle $$$, where $$$ - angle between transport facility longitudinal axis and direction of motion, are produced. Operation of the device is based on registration of time instants at passage of the receivers over the character elements, measurement of time intervals between the instants and calculation of the speed and coordinates of transport facility in the plane of motion on the basis of the obtained results.
