METHOD AND DEVICE FOR TRANSMITTING AND RECEIVING DIGITAL INFORMATION Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

Abstract RU 2109401 C1

FIELD: data transmission systems for radio engineering, electronics, computer engineering, and other industries. SUBSTANCE: signal is shaped during digital data transmission in the form of binary digitally encoded sequence whose autocorrelation function incorporates ability of stabilizing side lobes in case of signal distortion (clipping) by noise; symbols "1" and "0" are encodes by mutually inverted codes. During signal decoding, correlation processing is employed and information is identified by recording output of mutual correlation function of signal and copy beyond threshold level. Signal whose autocorrelation function possesses mentioned ability of stabilizing side lobes is synthesized by building up initial short-length signal until that of desired length is obtained whose autocorrelation function has least level of side lobes; at the same time, mutual correlation function of such signal and signal corresponding to three types of characteristics noise also has minimal level of side lobes. Device implementing this method has coding unit in the form of module two adder and decoder incorporating unit for computing mutual correlation function of signal and copy, as well as threshold unit. EFFECT: enlarged functional capabilities. 13 cl, 8 dwg
